Keep Things FRESH – FIVE Keys

FIVE Keys

I’m not an expert in the field of self-help.  I can’t claim to have any letters after my name that constitute a certain gravitas in psychotherapy in fact my spell checker just autocorrected my attempt to spell “psycotherapy.”   But I do have a Degree, three in fact.  The first is a Bachelor of Theology with a Major in Music, the second is a Master of Arts in Business Management. These Degrees have given me a method of thinking and disposition that have afforded me a genuine ability to be profoundly simple.  So whilst I’m in no way claiming to be a self-help-psycho-behavioural-therapistic-guru, I’m fairly certain that this post and these FIVE Keys will hit a chord with folk who simply agree with a well thought out common sense approach to being the best person you can be.

So, what qualifies me to make my well thought out presentation?  It is my 3rd Degree. My 3rd Degree… a degree of experience. Experience in hearing, seeing and talking to people who simply want to be a better version of themselves. For the better part of 18 years, I’ve served as a Pastor, Church Leader and a builder of teams. A Business Consultant and Project Manager, I’ve lead business areas, organisations, individuals and communities through transformation and change. I’ve been and still am an advocate for justice and a conference speaker to diverse audiences. But during all these years whilst wearing all these hats, having sat and conversed with numerous people, from all walks of life, varying races, colours & creeds – I’ve learnt that people, regardless of wealth or health are often frustrated and unfulfilled because they feel they are not able to be the best version of themselves they can possibly be.

The rich person wants to be more “present” at home. The homemaker wants better friendships conversations and shared experiences. The Junior Exec and Senior Director are concerned about their physical and mental health – they often question if the rat race will really bring them their preferred hopes and dreams. The Millennial needs more financial independence and despite living in an instant age is perhaps questioning existence and spirituality within in their existential context. These are just some of the issues that I address in the FIVE keys. I’m convinced that when applied this model will bring the best out of you.
